About William Morton

William Morton joined Pless Law Firm in 2022 as Senior Counsel with the Firm’s expansion into the Texas market.Based in the Austin office, he specializes in assisting clients with raw land and developed properties, handling due diligence matters, drafting declarations and other restrictive covenants, construction contracts, and retail and office leasing. Additionally, Bill focuses on representing clients in the acquisition and redevelopment of existing office and retail sites

Prior to Pless Law, Bill worked in both large scale multi-disciplinary law firms and smaller boutique firms focused solely on commercial real estate. He has successfully represented developers from the acquisition stage through lease-up, tackling notable projects like a 400+ acre development encompassing over 3.9 million square feet of retail, dining, entertainment, and hotel spaces. His early experience in representing national retail tenants has proven beneficial in negotiating leases for his developer clients, enabling him to provide well-rounded legal advice.

Outside the office, Bill is deeply involved in his community. He founded a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to providing essential supplies to the homeless. He is also actively involved with Champions to Cure Duchenne, an organization committed to improving the lives of those affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy through research, enhanced care, and community empowerment.
