About Elizabeth Shackelford

Elizabeth Shackelford joined Pless Law Firm in 2024 as an Associate Attorney working in the Firm’s Denver office specializing in general commercial real estate matters. With a unique background in land management and a passion for environmental law, Elizabeth brings a distinct perspective to the Pless Law team.

Elizabeth grew up working in a land management office for farms in her hometown of Louisiana. This experience ignited her desire to pursue a legal career focused on land use and real estate. At Pless Law Firm, she assists both attorneys and clients in navigating the complexities of commercial real estate transactions and land use regulations.

Elizabeth earned her undergraduate degree from Sewanee: The University of the South. She recently graduated from The University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she served as Production Editor for the University of Denver Water Law Review.

Elizabeth’s dedication to pro bono work during law school reflects her commitment to serving others. She participated in programs such as the Afghan Refugee Client Clinic and the DU Law Tribal Wills Program, demonstrating her passion for using her legal skills to make a positive impact in her community.

Outside of the office, Elizabeth enjoys running, cycling, and fly fishing.
